A deal is only a deal if the price is genuinely below what you would normally pay. Here is the quick check to run before clicking buy during Prime Day:
- Note the Prime Day price on the product.
- Check the singles value of the set. Use our Pokemon card price tracker to look up the top cards from that set.
- Add up the top 10 most valuable cards and divide by 36 (packs per booster box). That is a rough expected value per pack.
- If the Prime Day price per pack is below the expected value per pack, it is worth buying. If not, you are paying for the fun of cracking packs, which is also valid.
