Amazon Prime Day 2026 runs from 7 to 13 July. That is seven days of deals, and for Australian TCG players it falls at one of the busiest release windows of the year. Three sets are dropping in the two weeks around Prime Day, prereleases are happening, and if you are buying sealed product, this is the window to watch.
This guide covers everything: what is releasing, what is likely to be discounted, which games are worth buying sealed right now, and where to find the best prices. Bookmark it. We will update it as confirmed deals go live. Check our shop page for live affiliate links to every product mentioned here.
When Is Prime Day 2026 in Australia?
Prime Day starts at midnight on 7 July 2026 and runs through to 11:59 PM on 13 July 2026 (AEST). You need an Amazon Prime membership to access the deals. If you are not a member, Amazon AU offers a 30-day free trial. Some deals also go live in the 72 hours before Prime Day officially opens, so it pays to check early.
Not everything TCG-related will be discounted. Amazon AU does not always pass manufacturer pricing directly. What you will find are deals on older sealed product, bundles, accessories, and sometimes current sets from third-party sellers competing for the buy box. New releases within 2 to 4 weeks of Prime Day tend to stay close to RRP.

What Is Actually Worth Buying on Prime Day?
The honest answer: it depends on the game and the product. Prime Day discounts on TCGs in Australia are inconsistent. Here is a breakdown by what to expect.
Older sealed product (booster boxes, ETBs from 2 to 3 sets ago): This is where Prime Day tends to deliver. Amazon AU and third-party sellers compete on price for stock they are trying to move. If you have been eyeing a set from 6 to 12 months ago, Prime Day is a genuine opportunity.
Current sets (released within 4 weeks): Rarely discounted during Prime Day. New product has strong demand and sellers have no reason to cut margin. Buy these at RRP before stock tightens.
Accessories and supplies: Sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, and binders frequently get Amazon AU discounts during Prime Day. If you need supplies, this is the best time of year to stock up.
Singles: Amazon AU does not really sell individual cards. For singles, our eBay store has over 28,000 listed. You can also check current card values by game using our card price tracker.
Best Value Pick: Pokemon Booster Bundles and Trainer Boxes on Amazon AU
Pokemon sealed product on Amazon AU tends to see the most consistent Prime Day movement. Booster bundles (6 packs), Elite Trainer Boxes, and older set booster boxes are reliably discounted. If you are only buying one thing during Prime Day, check Pokemon sealed first.
Game-by-Game Prime Day Buying Guide
Here is the quick breakdown for each major game. Click through to the dedicated posts for more detail on each one.
Magic: The Gathering Marvel Super Heroes just dropped. The Hobbit releases August 2026. Prime Day sits between two major sets.
Pokemon TCG Pitch Black drops 17 July. Buy older sets on Prime Day, pre-order Pitch Black separately.
Yu-Gi-Oh Chaos Origins drops 2 July. WCQ State season is running. Card prices are moving.
Disney Lorcana Attack of the Vine prereleases 17 July. Do not wait for Prime Day on this one.
Star Wars Unlimited Ashes of the Empire prerelease runs 10 July, during Prime Day. Perfect timing.
One Piece Card Game OP-16 Time of Battle is available now. ST-31 Starter drops 11 July.
Dragon Ball Super FB10 Cross Force is live now. DBS Masters B31 drops 3 July.
Riftbound The League of Legends TCG. Vendetta releases 31 July. Early adopter opportunity.
Should You Wait for Prime Day or Buy Now?
For sets releasing right now (MTG Marvel, One Piece OP-16, DBS FB10): buy now if you want them. Stock on new sets does not improve over Prime Day. These will not be cheaper in 2 weeks.
For sets releasing around Prime Day (Chaos Origins 2 July, Ashes of the Empire prerelease 10 July, One Piece ST-31 11 July): buy on release. Prerelease and launch stock is separate from Prime Day inventory. You are not choosing between the release and a deal. You can do both.
For sets releasing after Prime Day (Lorcana Attack of the Vine, Pokemon Pitch Black, both 17 July): pre-order now if they are available, or wait until wide release. Prime Day will not affect post-Prime Day release pricing.
For older sets you have been sitting on: wait for Prime Day. This is where the genuine value is.
Where to Track TCG Prices During Prime Day
Amazon AU prices change quickly during Prime Day. If you are trying to work out whether a deal is actually good value, use our card price tracker at cardsoncardsoncards.com.au/cards to check the current market value of cards from that set. If the singles value of a booster box is already below what Amazon is selling the sealed product for, it is not a deal worth taking.
For sealed product valuation, the expected value (EV) of a booster box is the sum of the top card prices divided by the box price. Our shop page shows current pricing on all major sets across Amazon AU.
Prime Membership: Is It Worth It Just for TCG Deals?
Probably not on its own. The 30-day free trial is worth activating in the week before Prime Day if you are not already a member. If you already use Amazon AU regularly for other purchases, Prime membership is solid value even outside of Prime Day. If you only buy TCGs, the annual fee may not stack up unless you are buying several booster boxes a year.
The TCG-specific value of Prime membership outside of Prime Day is faster delivery and slightly better pricing from Amazon directly (versus third-party sellers). On new releases, being Prime means you get the product on launch day rather than 3 to 5 business days later.
