The Key Date to Lock In First: July 8
Badge sales for RQ Singapore open at 9am SGT on July 8, 2026. For Australian players that is 11am AEST on July 8.
This date matters. RQ Sydney's Competitor badges sold quickly once announced. Singapore will draw players from across Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. The Competitor badge is the one that grants Main Event access. Missing the sale window means no competitive entry.

Event Overview
Dates: September 4-6, 2026
Location: Singapore (venue to be confirmed as event approaches)
Format: Constructed. Bring your own deck built around a Champion Legend.
Significance: Top 64 finishers earn invitations to the Riftbound Regional Championship, on the path to the first-ever Riftbound World Championship. Singapore is the final chance for APAC players to earn that invitation before the qualification window closes.
The Meta Going Into Singapore
Singapore plays in the Vendetta meta. Vendetta (Set 4) releases July 31, giving players roughly five weeks of Vendetta experience before the event. This is a short window, the meta will not be fully settled by September 4.
What this means for preparation:
Follow Vendetta preview season closely. Previews start in late June. The players who understand the new cards earliest will have the strongest theoretical foundation for Singapore.
Watch RQ Sydney and Vancouver results. Sydney (May 15-17) and Vancouver (May 29-31) are both Unleashed-meta events. The Legends that dominate there will be well-understood going into Vendetta. Players who have refined their core Legend choice through Unleashed will adapt to Vendetta more quickly than those who switch Legends mid-season.
Test the Vendetta Pre-Rift. The global Pre-Rift event runs July 24-30 at local game stores including Australian LGS. This is Sealed format (you open product and build on the spot), but it is your first hands-on experience with Vendetta cards before Singapore.
Travelling to Singapore as an Australian Player
Singapore is approximately 7-8 hours flying time from the east coast of Australia. Direct flights run from Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. For a September 4-6 event, aim to arrive September 3 to allow a full rest day before the Main Event.
Practical notes: Singapore is in the same time zone group as Perth (SGT is UTC+8, AWST is UTC+8). East coast Australian players will be adjusting from AEST (UTC+10), meaning a 2-hour difference. This is manageable with one night of adjustment.
Accommodation near the venue will book fast once the venue is confirmed. Monitor the official Riftbound announcements for venue details.
Why RQ Singapore Is Different from RQ Sydney
RQ Sydney is the first APAC event, which means the field will include many players who are new to competitive Riftbound. Singapore follows five months later. By September:
- The competitive field will be more experienced and more refined
- The Vendetta meta will have introduced 4-5 new Legends, expanding deck diversity
- Players who performed at Sydney will have been grinding locally since May
- The prize pool and invitation stakes will attract the strongest players from across the Asia Pacific region
Singapore is the harder event. If you are attending to compete rather than just experience the scene, give yourself the full Unleashed and Vendetta season to develop your game.
Preparing Your Deck for Singapore
You have four months. Here is the sequence:
May-June (Unleashed meta): Lock in your Legend. The Unleashed season is the time to develop real mastery of one deck's decision trees. Attend local Summoner Skirmish events. Watch RQ Sydney and Vancouver streams.
Late June (Vendetta previews): Evaluate which new cards slot into your chosen Legend's deck and whether any new Legends are better positioned for the meta you expect at Singapore.
July 31 (Vendetta release): Finalise your deck list. Buy singles immediately for cards you need, early Vendetta singles prices will spike on the first weekend then stabilise.
July 24-30 (Pre-Rift): Play Sealed to get hands-on Vendetta experience. Note which new mechanics interact with your deck.
August (testing month): Grind locals and online events with your final list. Singapore is September 4.
What to Pack
Singapore in September runs 28-32 degrees with high humidity. Pack light. The event venue will be air-conditioned but walking between locations will be warm.
Beyond the usual tournament kit (deck, sleeves, dice, life tracker), bring a portable phone charger and a light jacket for the air-conditioned venue.
For Riftbound singles shopping in Singapore, the local TCG market will have Vendetta product. Budget for a small trade fund if you want to pick up cards while there.
