Quick Answer

Riftbound has four sets released or currently available in Australia as of May 2026, with a fifth confirmed for later in the year. In order: Origins (October 2025, 298 cards, 27 champions), Spiritforged (February 2026, 221 cards, 12 new champions), Unleashed (May 8, 2026, 219 cards), and Vendetta (July 31, 2026, confirmed global parity release). Radiance is the fifth set, confirmed for October 23, 2026. See current AUD prices for all sets at /cards/riftbound.

Set 1: Origins (October 31, 2025)

Origins is the foundational set for Riftbound and the correct starting point for new players and collectors. Released globally on October 31, 2025 (August 1, 2025 in China), it introduced the entire game: mechanics, card types, Domains, and 27 founding champions.

Card count: 298 cards in the main set, plus Overnumbered variants numbered above 298 with exclusive artwork. The set also includes Alternate Art versions of the 12 main champions (roughly two guaranteed per box of 24 packs) and rare Signature Overnumbered cards (approximately one per 30 boxes).

Champions in Origins: Viktor, Jinx, Lee Sin, Ahri, Caitlyn, Darius, Yasuo, and others across 27 founding legends.

Starter products: Three Champion Decks (Viktor, Jinx, Lee Sin) plus the Proving Grounds four-deck starter box featuring Annie, Master Yi, Lux, and Garen. Note that Origins Proving Grounds sold out at retail and a reprint was confirmed in early 2026 but without a confirmed date.

Current availability in AU: Booster Boxes and Champion Decks available through AU retailers and eBay. The set is confirmed still in print and has not rotated from Standard format. Browse Origins cards and AUD prices at /cards/riftbound/sets/origins.

Set 2: Spiritforged (February 13, 2026)

Spiritforged launched in English on February 13, 2026 (December 12, 2025 in China). It is the first expansion after Origins and meaningfully expanded the game rather than just adding cards.

Card count: 221 new cards, including 30 Overnumbered cards (12 with Signature variants).

Champions added: 12 new legends including Azir, Irelia, Draven, Lucian, Renata Glasc, Sivir, Ezreal, Fiora, Rumble, Jax, Rek'Sai, and Ornn. Fiora is the only champion who also appeared in Origins (as a non-champion card); the rest are entirely new to Riftbound with Spiritforged.

New mechanics: Spiritforged introduced equipment cards that let players enhance their Units, adding a new layer of deck-building strategy not available in Origins-only builds.

Starter products: Champion Decks for Rumble and Fiora launched alongside the set.

The set is named after the Spirit Blossom event in League of Legends lore, with the theme of weapons as extensions of identity running through the card art. Browse Spiritforged cards and current AUD prices at /cards/riftbound/sets/spiritforged.

Set 3: Unleashed (May 8, 2026)

Unleashed is the current set as of May 2026. It released on May 8, 2026 at local game stores across Australia, with Pre-Rift events running in the days before launch.

Card count: 219 cards in the main set, including 60+ Showcase cards.

Champions added: Vi, Vex, Diana, Master Yi, Kha'Zix, LeBlanc, Evelynn, and others. The set is themed around the Jungle environment and the idea of champions evolving rather than arriving fully formed.

New mechanics: Three new keyword abilities debuted with Unleashed. XP is a resource players build and spend for unique champion-specific advantages. Ambush allows cards to be played unexpectedly. Hunt is a new interaction keyword that changes how certain units engage in combat.

Starter products: Champion Decks for Vi (Fury and Order Runes) and Vex (Calm and Chaos Runes) at AU$39.99 RRP each. Each deck contains 56 cards, a paper playmat, how-to-play guide, deck box, and a booster pack. The Unleashed Vault (RRP AU$89.95) is a collector bundle with additional contents.

Set 4: Vendetta (July 31, 2026)

Vendetta is the next set to release, confirmed for July 31, 2026. This is the first Riftbound set with simultaneous global release across English, Italian, Japanese, and Chinese simultaneously, which removes the weeks-long gap between Chinese and English releases that existed for Origins and Spiritforged.

Champions confirmed: Akali, Mel, and Ambessa. The Showdown Decks product features Zed vs Shen as a head-to-head starter experience.

Preorders are expected to open after the official reveal in June 2026.

Set 5: Radiance (October 23, 2026)

Radiance is the fifth set in the 2026 Riftbound roadmap, confirmed for October 23, 2026. No card details have been officially revealed yet as of May 2026.

Collecting Across All Sets

Riftbound is at an unusual and advantageous point for Australian collectors: five sets are either released or confirmed within a single calendar year, but the total card pool is still manageable compared to mature games. Completing Origins at 298 main set cards is achievable. Log your progress at /tracker and use the Compare tool at /compare to evaluate which singles are worth your budget.

The competitive format currently includes all released sets without rotation, meaning Origins, Spiritforged, and Unleashed cards are all legal. Vendetta and Radiance will be added as they release.

The C3 Take

Five sets in one year is a significant pace. Riot Games confirmed the full 2026 roadmap at PAX Unplugged, so this schedule is not speculation. What that means for Australian buyers is that each set window is short. Prices on Spiritforged and Origins singles will be shaped by Vendetta and Radiance releasing later this year. If you are building a collection, knowing the full release schedule now means you can make informed decisions about which sets to prioritise before new product shifts demand. The set list is your planning tool. Use it as one.
