Riftbound Vendetta launches in Australia on 31 July 2026. Three days before the wide release, Good Games Brisbane is running a Pre-Rift Event on Monday 28 July for AU$65. It is a sealed format event: you open Vendetta product on the day, build your deck from what you pull, and keep every card you open.

Vendetta is the fourth Riftbound set, following Origins, Spiritforged, and Unleashed. New champions and expanded mechanics make it the most significant set release since Origins, and the Pre-Rift Event gives you early access to the new card pool before any other players in the broader market.

What Is a Pre-Rift Event?

Pre-Rift Events are the Riftbound equivalent of a prerelease. They run at authorised Riftbound retail locations in the days before a new set reaches general retail. You pay the entry fee, receive a sealed Vendetta product allocation, and build a deck from what you open to play in the event.

The format is sealed, which means no existing card collection is required. Everyone is working with the same variable resource: the packs they opened.

The AU$65 entry fee covers both your sealed product and your event entry. You keep everything you pull.

Pre-Rift Events are one of the most practical ways to experience a new Riftbound set because the sealed environment gives every player immediate access to the new cards in a competitive context.

How Sealed Works in Riftbound

Open your full Vendetta sealed allocation and sort all cards by champion affiliation and card type. Choose one champion as your primary champion. Build your combat deck around that champion's card pool.

Riftbound sealed decks are built from what you opened, not from the optimal constructed card list. Prioritise cards that interact directly with your chosen champion's abilities. Champion synergy matters more in sealed than in constructed, where access to the full card pool gives you optimised options.

Set aside any cards with significant standalone value before building. Vendetta singles that are worth AU$20 or more individually represent real monetary value from your entry fee. Know what you opened before deciding whether to play those cards or protect them separately.

Getting to Good Games Brisbane

Good Games Brisbane is at Shop 3/74 Little Edward Street, Spring Hill. Spring Hill is immediately north of Brisbane CBD, accessible by bus from the city centre and a short walk from the Roma Street precinct.

The event runs on Monday 28 July. If you are travelling from outside Brisbane or from regional Queensland, factor in the weekday date when planning transport and accommodation.

Vendetta and the Competitive Meta

Vendetta is the fourth Riftbound set, which makes it a significant point in the game's development. By the fourth set, the card pool is large enough for diverse competitive strategies, and new champions in Vendetta will create new archetypes that shift the meta meaningfully.

Players who attend the Pre-Rift Event gain a practical advantage in early Constructed Vendetta events. Playing with the new cards in sealed before the wide release gives you a head start in understanding which champions and cards are strong in the new environment.

The Riftbound Vendetta set guide covers the full Vendetta context including how it fits into the existing meta from Origins through Unleashed.

Is AU$65 Worth It?

The Pre-Rift Event entry is higher than typical store tournament fees. Here is how to assess whether it is worth it for you.

The fee covers Vendetta sealed product you keep plus structured competitive play before the wide release. Check the retail price of Vendetta packs when they are announced to understand the product component of your entry fee.

If you pull high-value Vendetta singles, they directly offset the entry cost. The C3 Riftbound hub will track Vendetta singles prices as they emerge after the wide release on 31 July. Checking those prices after the event tells you exactly what your pulls were worth in the Australian market.

For casual players, the sealed experience and early access to Vendetta are the primary draws. For strictly competitive players, the event offers early card pool knowledge before constructed Vendetta events begin.

Wait 2 weeks after release before buying Vendetta singles on the secondary market

New set singles are consistently overpriced in the first week after release as hype and limited supply drive up costs. If you want specific Vendetta singles for constructed play, the Pre-Rift Event gives you early cards from your own sealed pulls. For targeted secondary market buying afterward, waiting 2 weeks for prices to normalise is almost always smarter.
