The WCQ Pathway: From States to Worlds

For Australian players who qualify through the state championships, the pathway to the World Championship works as follows:

The World Championship at Ariake in August gives Australian qualifiers from the state championships approximately 2 to 3 months to prepare their deck for the global competitive stage. Chaos Origins, releasing 2 July, is relevant here: new cards from that set will be legal for Continentals and Worlds, making it a priority acquisition for qualified players.

Chaos Origins and the Current Meta

Chaos Origins releases 2 July, right as the competitive scene is focused on Continentals preparation. For competitive Australian players who are qualified or are aiming to qualify at Victoria States, the set is worth studying closely. New archetypes and support cards introduced by Chaos Origins may directly impact the meta leading into Continentals.
