MTG Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths released April 2020 with a monster-focused setting and introduced the Mutate mechanic. The set is notable for containing the Godzilla Series Monster cards — alternate art versions of Ikoria creatures featuring Godzilla franchise monsters — which are among the most collectable MTG cards ever printed. Expected value (EV) in TCG is calculated by multiplying the pull rate of each card rarity by the average secondary market value of cards in that rarity tier, then summing across all cards in a pack and multiplying by the number of packs you are opening.
For Australian players, we use AUD-denominated prices sourced from the Australian secondary market rather than USD TCGPlayer prices, which can differ by 15 to 30 percent after currency conversion and import costs. Our AUD values are based on recent eBay Australia sold listings for cards in each rarity tier.

Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is one of the most memorable sets in recent MTG history due to the Godzilla Series Monster cards — alternate art versions of Ikoria creatures featuring iconic Godzilla monsters including Godzilla himself (as Zilortha Strength Incarnate), Mothra, King Ghidorah, and others. These are among the most collectable MTG cards ever printed and can be worth AU$20-200+ each. Lurrus of the Dream-Den is the headline competitive mythic that was so powerful it was banned in multiple formats. Shark Typhoon and Fiend Artisan are Commander and competitive staples.
If you are primarily interested in specific singles rather than the experience of opening packs, buying singles on eBay AU will almost always give better value than box EV suggests, because you pay only for the cards you actually want.
