MTG EV Calculator — Australia
MTG Kaldheim released February 2021 with a Norse mythology theme featuring gods, giants, dwarves, and the World Tree. The set introduced Vorinclex Monstrous Raider — one of the most sought-after Commander mythics from the 2021 period — and contains several Snow-covered land synergy cards that remain format staples. Expected value (EV) in TCG is calculated by multiplying the pull rate of each card rarity by the average secondary market value of cards in that rarity tier, then summing across all cards in a pack and multiplying by the number of packs you are opening.
For Australian players, we use AUD-denominated prices sourced from the Australian secondary market rather than USD TCGPlayer prices, which can differ by 15 to 30 percent after currency conversion and import costs. Our AUD values are based on recent eBay Australia sold listings for cards in each rarity tier.

Kaldheim is a fan-favourite set due to its Norse mythology theme and strong legendary creature lineup. Vorinclex Monstrous Raider became an immediate Commander staple and competitive format target. The Snow mechanic cards including Faceless Haven and Blizzard Brawl saw competitive play. The Showcase Viking Frame treatment creates distinctive old-Norse aesthetic versions of cards that have maintained collector interest. The set also includes Tibalt the Cosmic Imposter, a notable planeswalker with a meme-status interaction that drove initial demand.
If you are primarily interested in specific singles rather than the experience of opening packs, buying singles on eBay AU will almost always give better value than box EV suggests, because you pay only for the cards you actually want.
