How We Price Cards

Last updated: 11 July 2026 · Cards on Cards on Cards (cardsoncardsoncards.com.au)

Cards on Cards on Cards pulls pricing data from multiple sources and converts it to Australian dollars daily. This page explains exactly where every number on this site comes from, how often it updates, and what our confidence badges mean, so you know how much to trust what you're looking at.

Where Our Prices Come From

Card catalogue data (names, sets, images) and base pricing for most games comes from tcgapi.dev, a licensed third-party data provider covering the TCGPlayer marketplace. For Magic: The Gathering, we use Scryfall, a widely trusted open data source built directly from Wizards of the Coast's own card database.

Gameplay stats (attack/defence, cost, rarity, and similar card details) come from a mix of free, community-run sources depending on the game: Pokemon via pokemontcg.io, Yu-Gi-Oh via YGOPRODeck, Lorcana via Lorcast, One Piece via optcgapi.com, Star Wars Unlimited via swu-db.com, and Digimon, Gundam, Union Arena, Riftbound, and Dragon Ball Fusion World via apitcg.com. None of these carry a formal service agreement, they're maintained by independent hobbyists and small teams, so we treat them as best-effort rather than guaranteed.

All prices are converted to AUD using a daily exchange rate and displayed with a timestamp showing exactly when that price was last updated.

What Our Confidence Badges Mean

Not every game on C3 gets the same level of daily attention. We'd rather tell you that plainly than let a stale price look identical to a fresh one.

Update Frequency

Core games (Magic, Pokemon, Lorcana, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball, Star Wars Unlimited) sync daily. Every other game on the platform also syncs on a regular schedule, though update frequency and depth of coverage varies, reflected in the confidence badge on each page.
